LEER EN ESPAÑOL

Nature’s Palette is returning in summer 2025! This foraging workshop series is intended to inspire in participants a deeper connection to art and nature. The program consists of three different projects offered over six sessions. Each workshop will begin with a foraging excursion led by an expert forager and teaching artist. During the foraging excursion, participants will be educated on the native ecology of the region and best foraging practices.

WHEN: Workshops will be held on the first and third Saturdays of each month, from May through July.

WHERE: We will meet at a park within the city of Allentown: Lehigh Parkway on the first Saturday of the month, Jordan Creek Parkway on the third Saturday of the month. Additional instructions for meet-up will be included in your confirmation email and upcoming reminder emails.

RAIN DATES: Rain dates are the following day of the original workshop date. Inclement weather calls will made the previous evening before by 8 p.m. If there is inclement weather on the rain date, the workshop will be cancelled and all tickets will be refunded.

The first one hundred participants of this program will also receive a foraging starter kit on the day of their first workshop.

Please expect a moderate-to-high level of activity for this program. The foraging excursion will include some paved and unpaved areas and will be include 1 to 2 miles of walking. We recommend wearing comfortable long pants with socks that cover the ankles; sturdy, close-toed shoes; a hat to protect from the sun; and sunscreen and bug repellent. Please also bring a bagged lunch and water—meals will not be provided during this program.
